Lecture duration: 1 hour, 30 minutes.
Lecture description: The EXHIBITION PROCESS lecture provides an essential overview of the roles art industry professionals play in the exhibition process. This includes artists, curators, conservation teams, exhibition designers, install teams. The lecture prepares students for possible exam questions and useful exam prep hints. The lecture includes student question time. LECTURES will be held yearly in Flinders Lane, Melbourne from August until October.

THE FINAL EXAM

Lecture duration: 1 hour, 30 minutes.
Lecture description: THE FINAL EXAM lecture is a revision of the key components of VCE ART MAKING + EXHIBITING. Discussing in detail potential exam questions related to art writing analysis, the development of your art making and the important components related to exhibition spaces and the roles played by art professionals in the preparation of exhibitions in galleries, museums and other art spaces. LECTURES will be held yearly in Flinders Lane, Melbourne from August until October.

Venue: Ross House, Flinders Lane, Melbourne OR at your school.
Workshop duration: 1 hour, 30 minutes.
Workshop description: LOOKING THROUGH THE ART LENS workshop provides an overview of the different ways to analyse artworks through the art lens. We examine how we can utilise different voices and cultural and emotional perspectives to discover individual meaning in artworks. Step by Step we pull apart the various elements and construct a cohesive and concise analysis. This is a workshop activity. The WORKSHOPS will be held yearly in Flinders Lane, Melbourne from August until October.

Lecture description: THE FINAL EXAM lecture is a revision of the key components of VCE CREATIVE PRACTICE. Discussing in detail potential exam questions related to art writing and art analysis. Revising the various lens categories and discussing how students can present a meaningful approach to their art writing. Highlighting the importance of art terminology and the various lens perspectives when discussing the meaning within artworks. LECTURES will be held in Flinders Lane, Melbourne each year from August until October.

The online lecture series will respond to the various components of work in Unit 3 and Unit 4 in both Study Designs. The online Lectures will include:

- VCE ART MAKING+ EXHIBITING – an introduction to galleries, museums and other art spaces. Lets talk about Exhibition Spaces.
- VCE ART MAKING+ EXHIBITING – how to prepare, engage and summarise your Critique feedback.
- VCE CREATIVE PRACTICE – looking at the Structural Lens, discussing a range of artworks both contemporary and historical
- VCE CREATIVE PRACTICE – investigating the Cultural Lens and discussing a range of artworks both contemporary and historical
- VCE CREATIVE PRACTICE – discussing how to use the Personal lens to create meaning and messages within artworks. Discussing a range of artworks both contemporary and historical
- VCE CREATIVE PRACTICE – the power of descriptive words and how to enhance your art writing skills.
- VCE CREATIVE PRACTICE – how to prepare, engage and summarise your Critique feedback.
Each Online Lecture introduces the important components (key knowledge and key skills) required. Students are given clear directions and a positive way forward. Lectures are presented by Therese Gilligan, an experienced VCE Art author, art industry professional, VCAA Examiner and experienced VCE Art educator.
