Description
The Trial Exam 2023 for VCE Art Making + Exhibiting has been structured to remain in keeping with the VCAA Exam layout and time allocations. The 4cats Education Trial Exam contains a trial exam and insert containing contemporary and historical artworks. The Trial Exam also contains a summary of observations and descriptive words related to the artworks within the image insert. The Trial Exam could be used in two ways. Present the trial exam for the purposes of a practice exam under VCAA time allocation i.e. 15 mins reading + 90 mins writing time. Alternatively, use the Trial Exam and the summary notes together as a learning tool for exam preparation – either as a class or for individual student exam preparation. The additional learning tool provides students with a summary of observations to consider and descriptive words to consider in relation to each of the artworks featured in the trial exam insert. Students could use the observations and descriptive words summary to sharpen their own observations of the artworks. The summary also provides ideas on how these observations and words could be be expressed within and exam response.
