Video # 2 – UNIT 3 –STUDIO PROCESS
– Begin with reading the key knowledge and key skills
– The studio process consists of five key stages: explore, develop, refine, resolve and present. At each stage of the studio process the student uses creative and critical thinking to document on the studio process
– The Studio Process is about exploration, trialling ideas both conceptual and visual ideas related to your Exploration Proposal
– Exploration is not concerned with finished artworks
– Don’t worry about precision – concentrate on your authentic ideas
– Every stage of development in Unit 3 Studio Process must be documented using visual and written material and presented in a Visual Diary – this supports your exploration
– must develop at least 2 Potential Directions
– Potential Directions would reflect a student’s ideas and the aesthetic selections made in the Exploration Proposal. Remember everything connects
– Potential Directions are evaluated in Unit 3 to set up clear directions to develop finished artworks in Unit 4.
